Season One is finished as of last night. I worked out a title page today, after much fiddling around. With that, the package of five chapters will come to 91 pages. Now I have to get it all printed out. Probably the best option for that will be my dad's computer, after transferring the files from my laptop to a disk and then over to there, since my computer here is rubbish. If that doesn't pan out, I'm not sure how I'm going to accomplish the task, but I'll work something out one way or the other. The plan is to churn out five copies, but I may bash out a few extras to keep around just in case. That way, if I need another copy I can just pull one out of my desk drawer instead of going through the whole process again.
Once they're printed out I'll take them to Staples and have them sewn together, like I did with the photocopied notebook pages some time back. This time they'll look all professional and such, and as a bonus nobody will have to deal with my handwriting, which is decent enough, but who wants to read handwritten pages in this day and age anyway? Once I make sure the formatting is all hunky dory, the finished product should look pretty darn spiffy.
I haven't started Season Two yet, but I expect to hit that tomorrow. I've already looked through some of the pages, so as to preview what's to come, and there's some good stuff that I'm excited to tackle. A lot of the seeds planted all over Season One start to blossom. The supporting cast gets developed further. The myriad subplots start to spiral out in every direction. And a few new faces pop up. It all builds to the exciting season finale.
And then I'll get Season Three straightened out, which will bring me up into brand new material. I'm not sure how many seasons it'll take to finish the book as of yet, but we're going to get there. I'm fully invested. I have a small group of interested readers, including Guinevere and her book club, which is a big motivational force. I'm picking up a couple new readers, including my mom, which is exciting. Everything seems to be pulling together.
Let's do it.
